How to use Spray for your wedding: Aso Ebi, wishlist and cash gifts in one link

Updated Saturday, 10 October 2026 · 9 min read

The short answer

Create a wedding page on Spray, add your Aso Ebi in a section for each family, add a wishlist and turn on cash gifts, then share one link on WhatsApp. Guests pay by transfer to your page's own account number or by card, and every payment is matched to a name and an item on your dashboard.

  • One link for Aso Ebi, the wishlist and cash gifts.
  • Each family's fabric in its own section, with stock and a closing date.
  • Your page gets its own account number, so transfers are matched to guests.
  • Money goes to your verified bank account through our payment partner.

Why couples use one link for everything

A Nigerian wedding comes with a lot of money moving around: Aso Ebi for two families, gifts from people who can't attend, contributions towards the honeymoon or the new home. It usually lives in WhatsApp chats, screenshots of transfers and someone's notebook. Spray puts all of it on one page that guests open from a link, and keeps the record for you.

  • Guests see everything in one place: what to wear, what you'd love, and how to send a gift.
  • Every transfer arrives with a name attached, so you know who paid for what.
  • Your thank-you list is ready when the party ends.

Set up your wedding page, step by step

  1. Pick Wedding as your event

Go to Create your Spray page and choose Wedding. Your page gets the wedding look and wording, and the shop starts with a section for each family.

  2. Add the details

Your names, the date, the venue and a short welcome message. Pick your link, for example comesprayme.com/tolu-femi. You can add a cover photo.

  3. Add your Aso Ebi

The shop starts with Bride's side and Groom's side, each with example items. Change the names, prices and photos, set how many you have and when orders close, and choose pickup, delivery or both. Add more sections if you need them, like Friends or Souvenirs.

  4. Add a wishlist

List the things you'd love: a washing machine, the honeymoon, rent for the first year. Each item is a fund guests can chip into or cover in full. If you already have a list on Amazon or Jumia, import it from screenshots.

  5. Choose your gift settings

Turn on cash gifts and set a few suggested amounts. Choose where guests land when they open the link (most couples lead with the shop), and who covers Spray's small fee in each section.

  6. Add where the money goes

Add the bank account in your own name. The bank confirms the account holder's name, and payouts only ever go to an account in your verified name.

  7. Publish and share

Spray writes the WhatsApp message for you, with your link and your page's account number for guests who just want to transfer. Share it in every family group.

Running Aso Ebi for both families

Each family usually sells its own fabric at its own price. Spray handles that with sections: Bride's side and Groom's side are there from the start, and guests see each under its own heading with a filter to show just one.

  • Set a closing date about four weeks before the wedding, so the tailors have time.
  • Set how many you have. Spray stops orders when an item sells out.
  • Mark each order picked up or delivered from your dashboard as fabric goes out.
  • Add your Aso Ebi coordinator as a shop coordinator, so they can manage orders and deliveries without seeing everything else.

How payments are matched to guests

Your page has its own account number. When a transfer lands, Spray works out who it's from and what it's for:

  1. By amount

If the amount equals an item's price, or a whole multiple of it, it's matched to that item and quantity.

  2. By name

If the sender's name matches a guest with an open order, it's added to that order. Part payments are fine.

  3. By you

Anything else waits in your review queue with a suggestion. You can split one transfer across several items, change any match, and log cash you received in person.

Getting paid

Spray never holds your money in a wallet. Your page can be shared as soon as it's published, but guests can pay only once three things are done: you've confirmed who you are, the page has been approved, and you've turned payments on (which gives the page its own account number). After that, money goes to your verified bank account automatically through our licensed payment partner. Your dashboard's Getting paid page shows what's left to do.

Extras guests love

  • A montage film: guests add a short video or photo with their gift, and Spray puts them together into one film you keep. It's free.
  • Remind me: guests who aren't ready to pay can pick when to be reminded, like after payday or a week before the wedding.
  • Family abroad can pay by card in pounds, dollars, euros or Canadian dollars once you turn those currencies on in Settings. It reaches you in naira.

Questions

Can the bride's and groom's families sell different fabric?
Yes. Each family's items sit in their own section with their own prices and stock, and guests pick the one for them.
What if a guest pays for two people in one transfer?
Two of the same item at the same price is matched automatically. Anything else goes to your review queue, where you can split one transfer across several items.
Does it cost anything to set up?
No. Creating a page and the montage film are free. There's a small fee: ₦100 + 1.5% per payment, never more than ₦2,000, and you choose whether guests cover it or you do.
Can someone else help run the page?
Yes. Add co-hosts, a shop coordinator for Aso Ebi, or your planner, each with the access their job needs.
